FAQ – Grant Support for Businesses and Community Initiatives

1. What types of grants are available for businesses in coal communities? 

We assist in identifying and selecting grant opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. This includes support for entrepreneurship, innovation, green energy, staff training, and production modernization.

2. Does the Association provide grants directly?

No, we are not a donor organization. Our team helps you find relevant grant opportunities, prepare applications and business plans, and supports you throughout the submission process.

3. How can I stay informed about current grant opportunities? 

We regularly publish updates on new calls and deadlines in our Telegram channel “Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in Coal Communities,” as well as on the Association’s social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn). You’re welcome to follow us there.

4. Can I get help writing a grant application?

Yes. Our project managers assist with preparing the complete application package, including the project description, goals and objectives, budget, impact framework, and cover letters.

5. How much does this support cost?

For Association members and businesses registered in coal community areas, all consultations, application support, and guidance are free of charge.

6. Can individuals or organizations that are just starting out apply?

Yes. Many donors support startups, especially those with innovative or socially driven ideas. We’ll help you assess your chances and prepare the required documents.

7. What documents are needed to apply for a grant?  

Document requirements vary by grant, but typically include: registration documents, a clean business reputation, a brief project summary, budget, justification of need, and expected outcomes.

8. How long does the application and review process take?  

Timelines depend on the donor, but generally:  

– Application preparation: 1–2 weeks  

– Review: 1–3 months  

– Project implementation: up to 12 months or more

9. Do you have examples of successful projects?

Yes. You can find examples of both business and community initiatives that received funding on our website and social media pages.
