Developing Growth Strategies and Managing Change
Participants in the "Leadership for Change" training, held on February 4-5, were representatives of coal communities from Lviv and Volyn regions, regional authorities, and the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine. Among them were Oksana Tomashuk, Deputy Executive Director of the Association, grant expert Oksana Vikhot, and project manager Olena Yanchyshyn.
During the training, participants gained insights into the basics of change management at the local level and had the opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills in the process of Just Transition.
"We not only studied tools for managing change but also engaged in interactive practical exercises. We developed growth strategies, planned, removed obstacles, found solutions to real challenges, delegated responsibilities, and motivated employees. Such training sessions help us see community development and change management from a completely new and broader perspective," stated Oksana Tomashuk.
The event was organized as part of the project "Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of Ukraine’s Energy Sector", implemented by GIZ Ukraine on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz).
