General meeting of members of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine
We held a general meeting of members of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine, where we summarized the results of our first partial year of activity and made several important decisions.
Firstly, we are happy to announce that the number of our members are growing. Today, representatives of the communities unanimously supported the inclusion of three new communities into the Association: Slobozhanske territorial community of Kharkiv region, as well as Verbky and Bohdanivka Village Councils of Dnipropetrovsk region.
"The fact that new coal-dependent communities are regularly joining us is a positive trend and a sign that we are moving in the right direction. Several more communities are preparing to join the Association soon, so our numbers will continue to grow," stated Andriy Tabinskyy, Executive Director of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
Another important step today was the decision to create the Association's Supervisory Board.
While we won't go into details yet, we can say that it will include not only respected Ukrainian experts but also international specialists.
We are also happy to congratulate Oksana Vinnytska, Head of the Shakhtarsk City Council of Dnipropetrovsk region, who was elected as the new Chairwoman of the Association's Board.
In addition, today the Association’s leadership presented a detailed report on the results of our work throughout 2024. We are sincerely grateful to the communities for their high evaluation of our work and for the fruitful cooperation, for all the big and small successes we have achieved together during this time. We appreciate the numerous meetings, discussions, and debates, the creative ideas and initiatives, and all the projects we have jointly implemented and initiated. There is still a lot of work ahead, with many problems to solve. Most importantly, there are ambitious plans and goals that we will undoubtedly achieve together.
