Implementing Energy Projects: Planning, Financing and Execution
Representatives of the Association took part in a two-day training aimed at strengthening the practical skills of local government officials and civil society organizations in implementing energy projects, securing funding and managing initiatives at the local level.
The event featured speakers with hands-on experience in local governance, energy sector professionals and experts in designing energy solutions and mobilizing financing for municipal projects.
During the two-day practical module, participants progressed through several stages of learning — from identifying priority energy projects for their communities and preparing the necessary documentation, to developing budgets and timelines and exploring funding opportunities to bring their ideas to life.
A key part of the training was the opportunity for participants to apply their knowledge in practice: working in groups, they developed concrete energy project plans and presented them to a panel of experts.
During the event, representatives of the Association also held a working meeting with members of the Zelenodolsk community to discuss the implementation of energy efficiency projects in key community facilities. One of the first steps could be the development of project and cost documentation with support from the NGO Ecoclub.
The training was held within the framework of the project "Support for Winter Preparedness and Renewable Energy at the Local Level in Ukraine", implemented by the NGO Ecoclub in partnership with the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need, the NGO Ecoaction and with financial support from the European Union.
