Just Transition Amidst an Ongoing War

How can coal communities be supported in facing their unique challenges during the largest war of the 21st century? How can the successful transformation of coal regions continue, and how communities can be rebuilt in the post-war period? These and other important questions were discussed at the forum "Just Transition Amidst an Ongoing War," attended by the head of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine, Andriy Tabinskyy.

"The positive experience of just transition in relatively rear-area communities will, in the future, become a powerful impetus for coal towns that we will liberate from occupation. Thanks to the experience gained and established cooperation with international partners, we will be able to restore, transform, and further develop those coal regions that are currently suffering the most from the war, more quickly and effectively," stated Andriy Tabinskyy.
