Meeting on Cooperation in Rare Earth Metals Research for the Transformation of Coal Communities in Ukraine

We held a meeting with Vasyl Syrvatka, PhD in Biological Science and Associate Professor at the Department of Genetic and Biotechnology of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.  

We discussed collaboration on the research of rare earth metals and the application of the findings to support the qualitative transformation of Ukraine's coal communities.  

Joint participation in projects and the establishment of international partnerships will promote the research process and, subsequently, the practical application of developments by Ukrainian and European scientific institutions.  

We remind that  this year at the Forum "Just Transition of Coal Communities of Ukraine," Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (Germany) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation regarding research on rare earth elements in coal waste.
