Meeting with representatives of GIZ: Reflecting on Achievements and Discussing Future Projects
We had a valuable opportunity to engage in dialogue with representatives of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Ukraine.
During the meeting, we discussed our shared achievements, the projects that have already been implemented or launched in local communities, as well as future plans, current challenges, and the new phase of the project “Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of Ukraine’s Energy Sector."
“It is hard to overestimate the contribution GIZ is making today toward the recovery and development of coal communities. The synergy of efforts, hard work, and creativity from the GIZ team, the Association, local authorities, and many community residents has produced tangible results and positive changes over the past year. We believe that together, this year we can achieve even greater outcomes and implement more meaningful and impactful projects within the framework of a just transition for Ukraine’s coal regions,” stated Andriy Tabinskyy, CEO of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
