Meeting with Slovenian Colleagues

The Head of the Just Transition Department at the Zasavje Just Transition Center, Martin Šikovec, and the Center’s representative, Maja Češič Žnida, shared the experiences of Slovenian municipalities and regions in implementing a just transition in coal-dependent communities.  

Slovenia's experience demonstrates that close communication and cooperation with local residents facilitate the successful implementation of projects that positively impact people's quality of life and the development of the local economy.  

During the meeting with Slovenian colleagues, there was a productive exchange of experiences in the field of just transition, discussions on interesting ideas, and sharing of developed solutions. The parties agreed on future visits and participation in joint projects. We look forward to further fruitful cooperation!
