New Financing Tools for the Just Transition of Coal Communities of Ukraine!

GIZ Ukraine and European Investment Bank (EIB) are in the final stages of signing an agreement to finance projects for a just transition. This agreement is expected to be concluded in the first or second quarter of 2025. The partnership will become a powerful tool to support projects aimed at the sustainable development of communities.

Today, during a quadrilateral meeting involving GIZ, EIB, Ecorys, and the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine, the importance of preparing high-quality projects was discussed. All parties highlighted the leading role of the Association in shaping such community projects to successfully participate in the grant program.
