Second day of the Study Visit
Second day of the Study Visit of Project Managers and Local Development Agency Representatives from Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia Regions – from Lviv to the City of Sheptytskyi
Today, participants visited several key educational and institutional centers in Sheptytskyi, including the Taras Horodetskyi Lyceum, the Chervonohrad Mining and Economic Vocational College, the Chervonohrad Vocational Mining and Construction Lyceum, and the Just Transition Space. Each location served as a platform for experience sharing, discussions on local practices, and exploring opportunities for collaboration in community development.
The visit also included a meeting at the Sheptytskyi City Council. The conversation focused on local initiatives and funding opportunities. Petro Pavliuk, Head of the Capital Construction and Investment Department, shared insights on project implementation in the city, funding sources, partnership strategies, and best practices for preparing grant proposals. Participants had the chance to compare how investment departments operate in their respective communities and gather new ideas to take home.
Visits like this are incredibly valuable. They create space for live dialogue, mutual learning, and inspiration. Through the exchange of real-life cases and practical experience, representatives from different regions can see how similar challenges are tackled in other communities, motivating them to adopt more innovative solutions.
Building partnerships, expanding understanding of potential funding sources, discussing joint projects, and finding common ground — all of this lays the foundation for stronger interregional dialogue and the development of a sustainable ecosystem to support transformation in coal-dependent communities.
