Supporting the Energy Resilience of Coal Communities in Dnipropetrovsk Region: energy efficiency certificates
We have entered a new stage of the project “Supporting the Energy Resilience of Coal Communities in Dnipropetrovsk Region.”
Following the energy audits of socially important buildings, communities have now received their first energy efficiency certificates. These are official documents, registered in the state database, which show the actual condition of the buildings, their energy efficiency class, and provide recommendations for reducing energy losses.
Certificates have already been registered for:
– Ternivka Central City Hospital;
– Petropavlivka Central Hospital;
– Mykolaivka Kindergarten No. 2 “Berezka”;
– Bohdanivka Gymnasium (a branch of Bohdanivka Lyceum);
– Pavlohrad Central District Hospital;
– Shakhtarske City Hospital;
– Zelenodolsk Lyceum No. 2.
According to the results of the certification, the energy efficiency class of most buildings is G, which indicates significant heat losses and the urgent need for comprehensive thermal modernization.
The certificates outline the key measures that should be implemented to improve the energy efficiency class, as well as the payback periods for these measures — helping communities to prioritize the most effective steps.
Why is this important?
For communities, this certificate is like a “passport” for the building. It helps make informed decisions, plan thermal modernization and attract investments.
The project is funded by the European Union through the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need and the NGO Ecoaction and is implemented by LR HUB – Centre for Economic Growth in partnership with the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
