The First Meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine

The meeting reviewed the results of the Association's work in 2024 and outlined the key directions for the Supervisory Board's activities in 2025.  

Particular attention was given to plans for promoting the interests of coal communities at the international and national levels, attracting international technical assistance funds, and strengthening communication with international partners.  

"We are proud to have assembled such a strong team of Ukrainian and international experts in the Supervisory Board. We appreciate everyone’s willingness to closely cooperate with the Association. This is not only a guarantee of transparency in our activities but also a prerequisite for further sustainable development and the successful implementation of numerous projects and initiatives," stated Andriy Tabinskyy, CEO of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.  

As a reminder, the Supervisory Board was established last October by a decision of the Association’s General Assembly. It includes leading experts, business representatives, and members of international institutions.  

The Chair of the Supervisory Board is Valentyna Moskalenko, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Jan Bondaruk, Deputy Director for Environmental Engineering at Central Mining Institute - National Research Institute, was appointed as Deputy Chair.  

Members of the Supervisory Board:

- Oleksandr Fomenko – General Director of DTEK Energy;

- Artur Lorkowski – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, expert in energy and environmental protection, climate change and public administration;

- Cyriac Massue – Deputy Head of Unit in Charge of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership BMWK.
