The Future Energy System of Ukraine: Opportunities for Decentralization and Diversification of Sources
The Future Energy System of Ukraine: Opportunities for Decentralization and Diversification of Sources – an initiative of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), USA.
Discussions focused on strategies for revitalizing, strengthening, and developing Ukraine’s energy sector, as well as the role of city mayors in its modernization. Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation with international partners, especially between the private sectors of the U.S. and Ukraine and subnational levels of the Ukrainian government in the field of decentralized energy.
"I would like to express my gratitude to CSIS, particularly to Romina Bandura, Senior Fellow of the 'Prosperity and Development' project, for organizing these discussions on issues that are critically important for our country. For a long time, CSIS has not only been conducting research on the energy needs of territorial communities but also developing joint recommendations for the modernization and decentralization of this sector," stated Andriy Tabinskyy, CEO of the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
