The project “Supporting the Energy Resilience of Coal Communities in Dnipropetrovsk Region” has been successfully completed!
During this project, the communities of Dnipropetrovsk region took important steps toward energy independence — from assessing the condition of their socially significant buildings to introducing practical tools for improving energy efficiency and fostering a culture of responsible energy use.
This project became a true driver of systemic change — the communities gained not only tangible results but also knowledge, experience, and motivation to move forward.
It demonstrated that even small initiatives can lay the foundation for sustainable development, and that meaningful change begins with conscious actions by everyone — from energy managers to school students.
We sincerely wish the communities of Dnipropetrovsk region to continue on this path — implementing green solutions, using energy resources efficiently, and sharing their experience with other regions of Ukraine.
The project was funded by the European Union through the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need and the NGO Ecoaction – Centre for Environmental Initiatives. It was implemented by the Centre for Economic Growth LRHub in partnership with the Association of Coal Communities of Ukraine.
