Tourism as a Driver of Economic Development in Coal Communities
Today, the Association’s team held an online meeting with Nataliia Tabaka, Head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine, and her colleagues. The discussion was also joined by Roksolana Khanas, representative of the Honorary Consulate of Israel in Western Ukraine, and Mariana Kuksa, Deputy Director of the Department of Sport, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
During the meeting, participants discussed tourism development and the creation of new tourist routes, in particular in the Belz, Sokal, and Velyki Mosty communities.
Tourism is an important tool for economic diversification that open new opportunities for local businesses and investment attraction. The Association continues to support the implementation of solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of coal communities in the context of a just transition.
