Up to $7,000 to Support Women in Agribusiness
Mercy Corps, with support from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, announces a grant competition for women from Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions to start or expand their own businesses in the agricultural sector.
The program aims to empower women in agribusiness affected by the war by helping them launch or scale up their own agricultural enterprises.
Funds may be used for:
– purchasing agricultural equipment, machinery, or tools;
– expanding production capacity or launching new business lines;
– improving storage, packaging, or processing conditions;
– strengthening marketing and sales activities.
Eligible applicants:
– local residents and internally displaced women from Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions affected by the war;
– women who are founders or owners of agricultural enterprises, with or without prior experience;
– farms with a total area of up to 150 hectares;
– women engaged in agriculture who seek to build a sustainable and competitive business.
Program participants will receive:
not only financial assistance, but also training, mentorship, and expert consultations to strengthen and grow their businesses.
